I've been wondering .....that since our bodies manufacture protein from amino acids found in plants....what happens when we consume proteins that another animal has created for itself?

Hi Storm and Jinjee Family

I wanted to thank you for making your documentary about your raw lifestlyle.
I have been eating 100% raw for 4
months, and on and off again before that for about a year. The other night I
started watching the movie and my family joined in. I am the only one eating
raw currently. My boyfriend and his son eat the regular S.A.D, my daughter
eats vegetarian.

The children were quite fascinated by your whole lifestyle. I think it was
really good for them to see children eating the way I do. I haven't tried to
enforce my diet on them, but educate them about why I'm doing it. I also am
more aware of what the damage is from SAD, and it is hard to provide this
food for them. However, I'm still in the learning process so I wanted to
wait until it is more second nature to me, the way eating vegetarian has
been. (I was a vegetarian for 16 years, a vegan for many of those years.)

After watching your movie, both the kids wanted to eat raw for a day! And
they did! They helped me in the kitchen to make fruinola and we went
blueberry picking. It was a little harder for my daughter, she had some
cravings but stuck with it. It would be easier for her if there were more
options available. I tend to eat more mono meals than recipes, but I would
like to experiment more with them for her.

It was really wonderful to see your world. Thanks for holding space for it
to show others it is possible!

I just finished watching Breakthrough! Wow-what an amazing documentary! I`m so inspired by your family-the love, faith, sincerity, determination, it`s so lovely! I think if there is one thing that convinces me to continue to believe in raw foods it`s your family and this documentary!

I`ve been feeling really skeptical the last few months because all the "raw foodists" are now pushing " raw protein powders", "essential omegas" in a pill, "maca", "green powders" etc..Raw food was about eating fresh whole plant foods but now it seems like it`s about eating foods out of a bottle again. I don`t have a problem with a supplement or two, a "superfood" or two but the amount of these items being pushed out as essential is crazy. So I`ve lost my faith but now I`ve found it back again.

So thank you for this incredible documentary that sheds light on sooo many things (seeing your sparkling children was especially touching) and thank you for being one of the few raw foodists who I think are truly and deeply sincere!

I compeltely enjoyed the DVD. The quiet and peaceful pace....Even my 10 year old son stopped everything he was doing and got drawn to it even though he doesen't understand engish very well. I am new to the raw way of life. I first discovered raw on your site. I had a friend die of lung cancer and I was doing all types of searches on Google on how to change your diet to reduce your risk of cancer as I smoked on and off for 14 years. Him dyeing really scared me. He was only 53. I was already eating fairly healthy and strictly eating organic and was at the point of eliminating dairy. The more you read and research on diet and health it will ultimately lead you to the raw way of life. I have been raw since January 12, 2006. I have lost 15 lbs and I am walking more than ever. I had foot surgery in July and my ankle is not quite healed from being cut in half.

I am truly amazed on how great I feel. It's like this is what I have been missing my whole life! I read all your books and watch all your DVDs. The film was great! I can appreciate Storm's passion on children's diet.

I loved that you did the film from the 'family' aspect. i think soooo many.. far too many people won't even consider it because they don't want their kids to eat raw (don't get it... most don't bother handing them junk food or giving them drugs with serious side affects). first i just have to say your family is absolutely beautiful!! i LOVED the children's animations... i so agreed with storm's explanation of how most normal children today could not even sit still for that long. -- the story of storm and jome running up the hill --- i honestly laughed so hard tears were coming down my face and i had to rewind it and play over again because i just thought it was PRECIOUS!!!! -- -but it was just so personal -- i LOVE the personal touch to the DVD. i wish the children of the world all were given the great gifts of not only great health that you are providing them but the TIME that you spend with them. i hope your DVD gets out to the masses as i believe it is such a sad society that allows us to poison our children. our children are really at the mercy of their parents and i believe your film will give other parents the safe feeling and knowledge that a raw vegan life is a healthy and HAPPY one.

The DVD has arrived! A very well done production on Breakthrough. I have done so much reading and information gathering that focuses on the negative impact of humans on the Earth and each other, that to find a positively oriented focus on something is a relief. I especially liked the nutrient comparisons, quite dramatic. The kids animation was a fun item to watch, little people can be surprising with their endeavors. The areas where the filming was done were beautiful. The feeling that you are friends after spending time with you in you lives was great too. The positive encouragement and how healthy you all look is wonderful, I will return to the dvd for a "visit" with all of you periodically just to have that reinforcement. I believe that with all things looking so critical for humanity and the Earth at this point in time the one thing which I can control, that will make a difference, is how much light and peace I can open myself to, to bring into the world and create a flowing that will go outwards.

Oh Jinjee!! You and Storm did such a good job on the DVD!! Please extend my bravos!! It's Christmas Eve, 11 pm and I put your DVD in the player and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was so fabulous!! I adored it. So much so I had to watch it twice.

Wonderful!! Delightful!!! I especially liked the scenes with you talking about your father so lovingly, the kids wearing hats and working around the table on their multi-media projects, and Storm and the kids climbing the mountain. Your cousin was awesome and so was Storms' and his transformation. What hard work!! And both of them so fruitful.

I thought it also very gracious of you to take the kids to the doctor for comparison weight and heights. It simply proves to the skeptical eye that done right this is a fabulous lifestyle. Not to mention Storm's point of 'big pharma' pushing Ritalin etc. I see it on the college level too and address it along w/ anti-depressants. You know, I got so lost in psychology that I almost didn't find my way back to health. Everything was a "therapy" problem, without even looking at the nutrition!! And, if I can get lost [w/ a masters degree in holistic health!], any one can get lost and they do, paying a heavy price; their mental and physical health along with their spirit!
